Yurt Village Hospitality Host
Plush Tents is an award winning, off grid woodland glamping site situated 4 miles from Chichester, West Sussex. We have created a unique Yurt Village for our guests to unwind with their family and friends escaping from the stresses of modern life.
Soaking away in the hot tub or star gazing from a hammock we provide escapism for all. An outdoor area for children, guests can relax in our home yurt with feet up by the fire.
We are looking for hosts with outgoing personalities to work at our Yurt Village as part of a fun team.
POSITION TITLE: Hospitality Host
REPORTS TO: Site Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Your role as a host is to have excellent customer service skills, an eye for detail. You are able to self motivate and be part of the team in our family business.
We work hard and make sure that we enjoy ourselves once the job is done. This is very much a lifestyle and the right applicant will love the space we have created as much as we do.
The most important thing is that our customers are able to truly relax and enjoy themselves in a chilled out space filled with creature comforts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are a valued member of the Plush Tents team and each member’s role impacts upon another, with this in mind it is your duty to fulfil your roles and responsibilities.
Duties:
- Cleaning communal areas to a high standard.
- Greeting and showing round new guests and ensuring that their needs are met throughout their stay.
- Lighting and tending to individual yurt burners and communal fires.
- Delivering food hampers onsite.
- Providing tea and coffee to guests from our onsite catering kiosk.
- Helping with the logistics of events, weddings and corporate away days, liaising with site and cleaning supervisor
- Help with transportation of customers luggage and items around the site via quad bike.
- Assist with any maintenance, logistics or customer issues that come up at any time and in all weather.
Your skills:
- You will be an enthusiastic, self starter who gets the job done without the need for constant prompting.
- You will have an eye for detail and a pride in ensuring that cleaning and maintenance is done well and to a high standard.
- You will be friendly, approachable and willing to help customers and management to ensure that the Plush Tents experience is amazing for everyone.
- You will be happy dealing with large groups, families and weddings.
You will be punctual, reliable and honest. - You will be prepared for physical, outdoor work in all weathers. This is a hands on role.
- You may have an interest in sustainable, off grid living.
- You will be required to take care of the village guests and work independently.
PREREQUISITES/ REQUIREMENTS: Full UK Driving licence
EDUCATION: N/A
EXPERIENCE: Hospitality, Event Management, Customer Service and Catering would be advantageous.
POSITION DATES: This is a seasonal job working shifts and sleepovers between March and November.

Yurt Village Event Manager
Plush Tents is an award winning, sustainable yurt village nestled in the picturesque South Downs. Lovingly built each spring and catering to those of us longing to disconnect from our busy lives, experience the raw beauty of nature and deepen our bonds with our partners, family, and, most importantly, ourselves.
A carefully curated offering of comfortable accommodation, delightful communal facilities, tranquil woodland, access to a mouthwatering range of food deliveries and your own personal, outdoor kitchen gives you the option of pure escapism, or to be treated to our own brand of informal luxury.
Our venue sleeps 60 in sumptuously decorated yurt accommodation and private hire includes the whole of our landscaped woodland including a wood fired hot tub, large yurt with a capacity of 120 people, fire pit, treehouse kitchen, teepee, children’s play area and a multitude of outdoor spaces. We are the perfect destination for a wedding, special birthday celebration or corporate team building event and offer a range of extras including additional yurts and activities.
We offer glamping throughout our season from April – October and look forward to the arrival of our regulars year after year for the school holidays, romantic midweek breaks and Goodwood (a 10 minute drive will take you to the famous Goodwood Estate, home to regular events including the annual Festival of Speed). Located within a few miles of Chichester, Fishbourne Roman Palace, Kingly Vale, Bosham Harbour and West Wittering beach there is plenty to see and do.

We are a family business and you will be working with a small friendly team.
As the Events Manager you duties will be:
Marketing – Look at ways to grow the weddings and events side of the business
Respond to guest reviews
Conduct customer surveys and compile feedback reports
Keep on top of market trends
Ensure all directory listings are up to date with current offerings
Regularly checking that all communication is correct and streamlined
Collect interesting and engaging material for social media posts
Sales – Work with current systems and be able to assist in developing and streamlining existing processes to maximise the venues revenue.
Sell the venue and our existing packages, as well as up selling & adding value
Meet and exceed targets
Enquiries – Be able to work independently responding to weddings and events enquiries within a specific timeframe.
Draw up accurate quotations for customers based on their specific needs
Coordinate all bookings and events from enquiry through to the event day
Show rounds – Carry out both pre-booked and walk in show rounds for potential clients/guests.
Event organisation – Using in-house IT system keep updated records
Liaise with and book suppliers
Maintain contact with clients between the booking and the event, finalising details and ensuring payments are up to date.
Liaise with the Operational team to ensure all event details are handed over so that service is delivered to meet and exceed requirements, this may involve meeting with the clients together with relevant members of the operational team.
On the day – Be required to run events on the day, ensuring everything runs smoothly and your clients experience their perfect event
Be the customer point of contact on the day of a wedding or event
Post event – Carry out post event calls to all weddings and events in order to check guest satisfaction and secure repeat business.

Yurt Village Cleaning Supervisor

An outdoor area for children, guests can relax in our home yurt with feet up by the fire.
We are looking for a key member of staff that enjoys working outdoors no matter what the weather to manage our laundry allocations and cleaning team for the glamping site.
POSITION TITLE: Cleaning Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Site Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Cleaning supervisor will be responsible for maintaining guestrooms, working areas, and the Yurt Village premises in general in a clean and orderly manner. Also coordinating daily housekeeping operations and maintaining the housekeeping operating standards.
You are also responsible for supervising the cleaning team to deliver excellent guest satisfaction and experience. On time to time basis may also be required to assist the Site Manager in various activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties:
Allocations Tasks –
Report to the office regarding upcoming guests requests, special needs and act on pre-orders.
Inspect daily, guest yurts, staff areas & communal areas for cleanliness and make sure these areas are kept up to standard by record keeping.
Assign bedding allocations to the turnaround cleaning staff, making sure they are up to date with pre-arrival requirements and ready for turnarounds.
Quality control site and Yurts after the turnaround.
Store daily copies of turn around sheets.
Laundry Tasks –
Prepare distribution of linen to Yurts and communal toilets and catering areas.
Record and monitor laundry inventory.
Record and distribute uniforms and advise the need for replacement.
Maintain stock levels of stationary, linen and amenity requirements by doing regular stock checks.
PREREQUISITES/ REQUIREMENTS:
Good command of written and spoken English communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities are essentials.
You should ideally have a with previous minor supervisory experiences within the Housekeeping Department of a hotel. Computer literacy is an advantage.
Full UK Driving Licence Essential, Ideally, you will live within an easily commutable distance from the site, as we are in a rural location you must have access to a car.
EDUCATION: N/A
EXPERIENCE: Previous housekeeping experience preferred. students with no experience are also considered.

POSITION TITLE: Cleaning Team
REPORTS TO: Cleaning Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
Keep all Accommodation Yurts and public facilities (such as Communal areas (Home Yurt, Treehouse Kitchen, Toilet and shower block) Reception and Office in a neat and clean condition.
As part of the cleaning Team you promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are a valued member of the Plush Tents team and each member’s role impacts upon another, with this in mind it is your duty to fulfil your roles and responsibilities.
Duties:
- Cleans yurts, porches, toilets and communal areas.
- Cleans and maintains treehouse kitchen and Home Yurt.
- Hoover carpets.
- Empties ashtrays.
- Cleaning the outside area including BBQ’s and wood burning stoves.
- Polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Emptying bins.
- Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo as required.
- Washes walls and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture, and turns mattresses.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
- Dust and polishes metal work.
- Collects soiled linen supplies and place in linen bins.
- Maintains housekeeping cleaning kit.
- Removes rubbish collected from yurts
- To attend briefings for events.
- To clean and maintain all equipment daily.
- To follow up a special cleaning schedule given by the cleaning supervisor.
- To report maintenance to the cleaning supervisor immediately.
- To comply with the Lost and Found Policy of the Yurt Village.
- To assist Guests in Public Areas when required.
- To have good knowledge of all Yurt Village facilities, hours of operation and upcoming events.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory in the cleaning shed..
- Post caution signs as and when required.
- Responsible for following departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment which he is using i.e., Vacuum cleaner, trolleys etc.
- Responsible for maintaining a time schedule for cleaning their areas.
- Responsible for spring cleaning of their area as per the schedule is given to them.
PREREQUISITES/ REQUIREMENTS:
Physical mobility and stamina required, Ability to follow instruction, Detail-oriented, Professional attitude is required, Ability to work independently.
